Traffic delayed on US 36 after multi-vehicle crash near Westminster
DENVER (KDVR) — A crash on eastbound U.S. 36 in Westminster has resulted in lane closures and significant traffic delays Tuesday afternoon. The Westminster Police Department said in a post at 2:47 p.m. the crash happened at U.S. 36 and Church Ranch Boulevard. A photo provided by the department showed multiple vehicles damaged after the crash, including one rolled over. Officers were initially directing drivers to exit the roadway at Church Ranch Boulevard. As of 4 p.m., a Colorado Department of Transportation camera showed traffic being diverted to the express lane. The Westminster Fire Department is also on scene assisting. Information regarding possible injuries was not immediately available.
