Traffic blocked on Highway 24 due to multi-vehicle crash
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that at around 8:40 a.m., a call came in reporting the crash at Highway 24 and 26th Street. The crash involves two vehicles: a truck and an SUV, and two people have been transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. According to CSPD, the intersection remains closed as of 10:15 a.m., as tow trucks are en route to the scene so that traffic can be cleared as soon as possible. A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 24 and 26th Street, near Old Colorado City, is blocking traffic on Highway 24, as of Saturday, June 13, at 9 a.m., according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD). CSFD reported that traffic is blocked going eastbound from the intersection and asks drivers to avoid the area.
