Traffic Alert: Fatal overnight crash closes a major highway
The Winston-Salem Police Department said one person has died following a crash on Highway 52. According to police, the collision happened just after midnight on Wednesday along Highway 52 under the Liberty Street Bridge. Officers said a driver was traveling on the highway's northbound lane when they collided with a pedestrian who was on the roadway. The pedestrian died from their injuries at the scene.
