Three people hospitalized after tractor and SUV collide in northeastern Nebraska
In Stanton County, Nebraska, a tractor and an SUV were involved in a collision, resulting in the tractor being split into two parts with one half found 25 yards north of the other. The incident occurred just east of Norfolk, and emergency responders from the Stanton County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene on Monday morning. The collision occurred on Highway 275 near Crown Road, as the tractor, which was pulling a trailer, was rear-ended by the SUV. This caused the 15-year-old tractor driver to be thrown onto the road, while the trailer became wedged to the SUV. The teenager was taken to a local hospital, along with the 38-year-old SUV driver and their 6-year-old daughter, both of whom were wearing seatbelts. Both vehicles were severely damaged and deemed totaled. Following the crash, Highway 275 westbound was temporarily closed and traffic was diverted to Highway 275 eastbound, but has since been reopened.
