Three dead in fatal one-vehicle collision
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Three people are dead following a one-vehicle collision Sunday morning on Prole Road in the town of Stafford, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office said. Police responded to the scene around 2 a.m. after receiving a 911 call. According to preliminary investigation, a black 2012 Nissan Altima was traveling northbound on Prole Road when the vehicle exited the roadway's west shoulder and struck a tree. The vehicle's operator — Joseph Martinez, 23, of Pavilion -- as well as its passengers -- Dylan Pehrson, 23, and Megan Merrell, 22, of Batavia -- were pronounced deceased at the scene. The incident is still under investigation at this time.
