THP: Two dead after crash near Newport Hwy. on Friday
GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) - Two people are dead after a crash on Friday near Newport Highway and Kiser Loop, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP). At 7:55 p.m., THP reports that a 2007 Lexus GX7 ran off the road and overturned before striking a tree. The driver, Amber C. Buffaloe, 38, was pronounced dead on the scene. The passenger, Corey R. Buffaloe, 36, was airlifted but died while on the way to the hospital.
