Temple PD identifies woman killed in accident Saturday afternoon
TEMPLE, Texas (FOX 44) - Update (March 29, 2026): The Temple Police Department has identified the deceased as 88-year-old Evelyn Gebala from Temple, TX. Temple Police continue to investigate a traffic accident on Saturday (March 28, 2026) afternoon that left one person dead and another in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.Temple Police officers were dispatched shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday to the area of Lower Troy Road and NE HK Dodgen Loop for a traffic accident. Upon arriving, officers learned a single vehicle had left the roadway and struck a concrete pillar. One person was pronounced dead on arrival, the other sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries -- with nobody else reported hurt at this time.
