Teenager riding e-bike dies in crash with UPS truck in Southampton Township, New Jersey

The teenager who died after colliding with a UPS truck while riding an e-bike in South Jersey was identified Wednesday as high school student Chase Sudano.Sudano's wrestling coach at St. Augustine Prep confirmed to CBS News Philadelphia the teen was a rising junior at the school.New Jersey State Police said first responders were called to Tranquility Court off of NJ-70 in Southampton Township, Burlington County, around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday.Sudano was pronounced dead at the scene. Video from Chopper 3 showed police and emergency crews blocking the road for hours Tuesday morning.Officials said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.New Jersey State Police said Wednesday that Sudano was riding an electric dirt bike when he collided with the back of a box truck at the intersection of North Firelane Road and Tranquility Court.In a statement, a spokesperson for UPS said the company is cooperating with police."We are heartbroken by the tragic accident in Southampton Township, NJ," the company said. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones. We are fully cooperating with authorities to understand what happened.
