Teenager dies in semi-truck and car collision in eastern Iowa
A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday in eastern Iowa where a 15-year-old lost their life in a collision between a car and a semi-truck. The accident took place at the intersection of S Canfield Road and Independence Avenue, east of Waterloo around 7:45 a.m. A Chevy Impala turned in front of a semi on Independence Avenue, resulting in the collision that led both vehicles to come to a stop in the southeast ditch of the intersection. The young car driver, Ciara Crisman, sadly passed away at the site, while the semi-truck driver, Travis Rink, remained unharmed. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident further.
