Teenage girl dies in collision; alleged drunk driver apprehended
A tragic two-car accident occurred on Lombardi Avenue Friday night, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old girl. The crash involved a suspected drunk driver and occurred when a truck collided with a sedan that was making a turn onto Holmgren Way. The 69-year-old driver of the truck, from Luxemburg, was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated after witnesses reported that he ran a red light. The driver of the sedan, a 45-year-old man from Green Bay, sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the 17-year-old girl, who was the daughter of the sedan driver, passed away at a local hospital. At this time, the authorities have not disclosed the identities of those involved in the accident.
