Teen wrestler killed in bus crash, suspect in custody

A man was taken into custody in connection with a collision involving an SUV and a bus transporting a high school wrestling team that occurred on Saturday. The Lakewood Police Department disclosed that 22-year-old Andrew Logan Miller of Denver was apprehended on Thursday evening for his participation in the incident, which took place on December 6 at Kipling Parkway and West 6th Avenue. Sadly, one teenager has passed away and multiple individuals are currently receiving medical care. The bus, transporting a wrestling team from Central High School, was making a left turn when it was hit by an SUV traveling at a high speed. A total of 16 individuals from both vehicles were hospitalized. The driver of the SUV, Miller, faces various charges including vehicular assault, child abuse, and reckless driving, among others. The significance of speed in the crash is being investigated by the authorities. Currently, victims from both vehicles are still hospitalized, and Miller is in custody at Denver County Jail awaiting transfer to Jefferson County Jail.
