Teen killed in electric scooter crash in Delaware County
DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) -- A teenage girl is dead after a crash in Orange Township Friday afternoon. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, around 3:43 p.m. on State Route 750 near East Powell Road, a Mazda CX-50 was traveling southeast when it traveled outside of its marked lane, striking a juvenile, 17, on an electric scooter. The juvenile was also traveling southeast on the right shoulder. The juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene by Orange Township EMS. The driver of the Mazda was not injured. OSHP says impairment and distraction are unknown at this time. The crash is under investigation.
