Teen killed, another arrested after rollover crash in Fond du Lac County
(UPDATE at 11 p.m. on 6/14/26) CALUMET, Wis. -- An update from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says the passenger who died is a 17-year-old girl. CALUMET, Wis.--- A 16-year-old girl is dead and another teenager is under arrest following a rollover crash Saturday evening in Fond du Lac County. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded around 7:17 p.m. to Highway HH in the Town of Calumet after receiving multiple 911 calls about a single vehicle crash. According to investigators, a sport utility vehicle traveling westbound failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, struck a culvert and driveway, became airborne, hit a utility pole and rolled over. A 16-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released pending notification of family members. The 16-year-old driver from Sheboygan and a 15-year-old passenger were taken by ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital. Another 15-year-old passenger was flown to Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee, while a fourth passenger was taken by family members to a Sheboygan hospital. A 14-year-old passenger was not injured. Investigators say impairment appears to have been a contributing factor in the crash. The driver was arrested on suspicion of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. The crash remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office.
