Teen injured, 2 adults, dog displaced after car crashes into apartment building on Indy’s west side
INDIANAPOLIS — A teenager was hurt and two people and a dog have been displaced after a vehicle crashed into an apartment building on Sunday morning. According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, crews were called to the 3000 block of Watergate Turn located within the Stratford Apartments. Upon arrival, fire crews determined that a vehicle had crashed into the apartment building. The driver was unharmed and signed an SOR denying any medical assistance. IFD is currently working with the apartment management to find shelter for the two people and the dog who were misplaced. IFD Collapse Rescue was also dispatched as the building was no longer structurally sound. After the car crashed into the apartment, it impacted a load-bearing wall, which forced crews to work for about 45 minutes to stabilize the building.
