Teen from Texas killed, another in critical condition when sled hits tree
A teenage girl from Frisco tragically passed away, and another girl was critically injured in a sledding accident that occurred on Saturday, January 24. The incident involved the girls riding on a sled that was being pulled by a vehicle. The sled hit a curb and crashed into a tree, leading to the emergency services being called just before 2:30 p.m. The police and fire departments arrived at the scene and tried life-saving efforts on the two 16-year-old girls. They were then transported to a local hospital, where one of them died from her injuries. The second girl remained in critical condition as of the following day. A 16-year-old boy was reported to have driven the Jeep Wrangler that was pulling the sleds, but the identities of the teens involved were not disclosed.
