Teen from Juniata County dies in accident while using FaceTime, according to State Police
State Police in Lewistown are looking into a tragic incident where a young driver, communicating via "FaceTime," lost control of their vehicle along Route 35 in Tuscarora Township. The driver, identified as Charles Raffensberger Jr., was on a call with a friend when the accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning. The 15-year-old was driving a Toyota Rav-4 at a high speed when the vehicle veered off the road, crashed into a tree, and caught fire, leading to the juvenile's death. Authorities are investigating the crash, including whether the driver was wearing a seatbelt. The road was closed for hours during the cleanup, and a fundraising initiative has been started by the Raffensberger family for funeral expenses.
