Suspected intoxicated driver in fatal accident identified

A woman has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after a fatal multi-vehicle crash in Southeast Austin on Sunday morning, as reported by the Austin Police Department. The incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes of the 3100 block of South US HWY 183, involving an SUV, a hatchback, and a sedan. The driver of the hatchback, who remains unidentified, passed away at the scene. Police took the SUV driver, identified as Angelicque Bramlett, into custody for intoxication manslaughter. Bramlett, 27, is currently held in the Travis County jail without bond. This incident marks the 94th fatal crash in Austin for 2025, resulting in 98 deaths.
