Suspect in fatal wrong-way crash on Grand Parkway charged with DUI.
A 27-year-old woman, Majesti Faith Lee, has been taken into custody following a tragic wrong-way crash on Grand Parkway that resulted in the deaths of three family members and critical injuries to a child. Lee has been charged with intoxication manslaughter as a first-degree felony and one count of intoxication assault. Her bond has been set at $1.05 million. The accident occurred early Saturday morning on SH-99 near FM 1464, when a vehicle driving south in the northbound lanes collided with a family of four heading north. Unfortunately, 27-year-old Lizbeth Rodriguez Contreras and 5-year-old Camila Pena died at the scene, while Diego Pena Jr., 26, passed away at the hospital. Both the three-year-old boy in the family's vehicle and the alleged wrong-way driver were hospitalized, with authorities reporting they are expected to recover. Investigators have found that alcohol played a role in the crash but have not disclosed the name of the surviving victim.
