Support for Cache County woman hurt in crash
A young woman, 19, is facing a challenging recovery journey following a severe car crash that occurred on Friday, Jan. 2 in Lewiston, Cache County. Abby Erickson, the niece of Sarah Coulson, sustained significant injuries in the accident, including broken bones in her back, neck, sternum, and foot. The crash occurred when an SUV carrying six passengers failed to yield and collided head-on with the car Erickson and her friend were traveling in on state Route 61. While the occupants of the SUV suffered only minor injuries, Erickson and her friend sustained serious injuries. Erickson, known for being energetic and hardworking as a full-time welder, is now facing a challenging road to recovery that includes time away from work and mounting medical expenses. A GoFundMe page has been established by her family to assist with these financial burdens, and the community is rallying together to support her during this difficult time. In addition, a local café, Cache Coffee & More, where Erickson often visited, has named her favorite drink after her for the month of January and will be donating proceeds from its sales to support her.
