SUNOL, Calif. (March 10, 2026) — Two people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Sunol that blocked Highway 84 or Vallecitos Road near Little Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision was reported on March 10th shortly after 9 a.m. at the eastbound lanes of State Route 84 near the Sunol Paintball Outdoor Park. Preliminary reports indicated a white Toyota sedan rear-ended a gray Honda Accord at the intersection. Authorities said the crash initially blocked the roadway while emergency crews responded. A CHP unit arriving at the scene confirmed it was a two-vehicle crash with minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, with the gray Honda suffering major rear-end damage and the white Toyota sustaining major front-end damage, according to dispatch logs. Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the roadway, and traffic in the area was affected while crews worked to clear the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
