Students narrowly escape after car slams into cafeteria window
A car crashed into Middle College High School in Midtown, Memphis, resulting in one student being taken to the hospital and others sustaining injuries on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 8:31 a.m. at 750 E Parkway South, when a parent dropping off their child experienced a brake failure while turning into the school's parking lot. Despite the driver of the Infiniti QX80 maneuvering to avoid hitting another vehicle, the car ended up driving into the school cafeteria window, near where seven students were seated. While some students reported injuries, they were treated on-site. One student, however, was taken to the hospital by her mother in a private vehicle after stating she was struck by something that fell on her back. Fortunately, the driver of the Infiniti did not suffer any injuries in the incident.
