Student injured as car crashes into Elizabeth, N.J. school wall
A New Jersey high school student sustained minor injuries on Monday when a driver accidentally crashed into Elizabeth High School. The incident occurred at approximately 8 a.m. when the vehicle veered off the road and collided with the exterior wall of the Dwyer auditorium, as reported by city officials. The driver's erratic behavior was noticed on Bridge Street, where they ran a red light on Pearl Street before the collision, according to authorities. Following the accident, one student with a minor leg injury was taken to Beth Israel Hospital as a precaution, while the driver was transported to University Hospital for what appeared to be minor injuries. Thankfully, no other vehicles or individuals were involved in the incident, and an investigation is ongoing. While repairs took place on Pearl Street, the school remained open as usual.
