State college woman dead after crash left her trapped in vehicle

The cause of death was blunt force trauma and it's been ruled accidental. CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A State College resident died Wednesday afternoon after sustaining significant injuries and becoming trapped in a vehicle following a crash. Officers said the single-vehicle crash, which occurred on the 400 block of Trout Road in College Township around 3:47 p.m., involved a 45-year-old driver who was entrapped in their vehicle and suffering from serious injuries. Police said they extracted the driver from the vehicle, but lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. The family has been notified and an investigation of the incident is ongoing, according to authorities.
