Speed a factor in fatal Granby motorcycle crash, MSHP

GRANBY, Mo. — One person is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash early Thursday evening just outside of Granby. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old man, driving a Honda motorcycle westbound along Hebron Road, just after 5 p.m., lost control of the vehicle and was ejected. Investigators say the motorcyclist traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a second, eastbound vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead by the Newton County deputy coroner. The driver of the second vehicle was traveling eastbound, was not injured, and her vehicle sustained minor damage, according to MSHP investigators. This is Troop D's 60th fatality crash for 2026. MSHP says the driver's high speeds and the road conditions contributed to the crash.
