Southbound I-5 shut down near Highway 58 after crash involving semi hauling cattle
All southbound Interstate 5 lanes near Highway 58 are closed after a multi-vehicle crash Monday morning. The California Highway Patrol said on Monday, June 8, 2026, at around 10:05 a.m., officers were called to a report of a multi-vehicle crash involving two vehicles and a semi-truck. The website said the semi-truck was hauling cattle. According to Caltrans, all southbound lanes are blocked. The CHP’s website said cleanup is underway for oil and fluid in the roadway. Southbound traffic is being diverted off at Highway 58. There is no estimated time for the lanes to be reopened.
