Slidell man killed in motorcycle crash
SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — A Slidell man was killed in a motorcycle crash Thursday, May 14 around 3:00 a.m. According to the Louisiana State Police, 21-year-old Gavin B. Dietrich was killed in the crash. He was driving a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R south on Highway 11 near Lakeview Drive. Officials said he was traveling fast while approaching a right-hand curve. Dietrich ran off the left side of the road into a gravel parking lot and over an embankment. He was thrown off the motorcycle and struck the coastal shoreline riprap. He received serious injuries and died on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
