Serious injury results from stolen car crash in Cambridge, per police

According to authorities, a stolen car from Boston crashed into a biotechnology building in Cambridge on Monday afternoon, resulting in serious injuries to an individual inside the building. The Porsche was reported stolen from Dalton Street in Boston around 12:45 p.m. Cambridge police spotted the stolen car near Massachusetts Ave and attempted to stop it, but the vehicle fled at a high speed down Albany St. Concerned for safety, police stopped pursuing the car, only learning about the crash later through emergency calls. The car was then seen driving the wrong way down a one-way street and colliding with the Intellia Therapeutics building on Waverly Street. A witness described taking cover from debris and observing the driver attempting to walk away from the scene. Another person in the building sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. Emergency crews worked to remove the car from the building that evening, and the driver was arrested and taken to a hospital. Charges are pending against the driver, whose identity has not been disclosed by Cambridge police.
