‘Serious’ crash closes Mt. Pleasant Hill Road in Newtown: Police
NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police, fire crews and medical responders are currently responding to a 'serious' car accident in the area of Mt. Pleasant Hill Road in Newtown, police said Tuesday afternoon. Mt. Pleasant Hill Road is closed in the area of Saw Mill Road, police said around 3 p.m. The one-car crash occurred down the embankment. The road will also be closed between Hawleyville and Sawmill roads until further notice, police said. Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes for both areas.
