Semi crash causes long traffic delays along I-70 eastbound near Cloverdale

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. — A semitruck that ran off the road and crashed is causing significant traffic delays along Interstate 70 in Putnam County. Indiana State Troopers were called Tuesday afternoon to the 34-mile marker of I-70 eastbound for a property damage accident. Upon arrival at the area, which is seven miles east of Cloverdale in Putnam County, they located a semitruck that had run off the road. ISP Sgt. Matt Ames said in an update on social media that the eastbound driving lane of I-70 will be shut down in the area for 'multiple hours' as crews clean up the accident.
