Second child dies after crash in stolen vehicle in Cleveland
CLEVELAND (WJW) -- A second young child has died after a weekend crash in Cleveland involving a stolen vehicle. According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, 13-year-old Jayden Allen died at the hospital June 9 from injuries he sustained in the crash. A 12-year-old boy, previously identified as Aydin Taylor, also died from his injuries. Cleveland Division of Police officials told FOX 8 the crash happened around 4 p.m. Saturday, June 6, in the area of E. 146th Street and Johnston Parkway. According to investigators, the vehicle was reported stolen out of Garfield Heights and was traveling at a high rate of speed when it went off the road, hit a pole and slammed into a tree. Police say first responders found the two boys trapped in the wreckage after arriving to the scene, and both were rushed to a hospital where the 12-year-old later died. A firearm was also found in the vehicle, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
