Scottsville Road closed in Chili after crash under investigation
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A woman in her 20s was killed in a head-on crash on Scottsville Road in the Town of Chili, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the crash happened around 6:45 p.m. Monday between Mile Wood Road and Morgan Road. Investigators said a truck traveling south attempted to pass another vehicle and struck a northbound vehicle. The driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in that vehicle was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two people in the truck also suffered minor injuries, deputies said. The driver of the truck was issued several traffic citations. The investigation remains ongoing. Scottsville Road is closed between Mile Wood and Morgan roads and will remain shut down while crews continue their work. Authorities said another update will be provided when the road reopens.
