Schenectady PD investigates fatal auto-pedestrian crash
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schenectady Police Department is investigating an auto-pedestrian crash that killed a 59-year-old man on Wednesday evening. Authorities and emergency services responded to the crash that happened near the intersection of Albany Street and Elbert Street, authorities said. Police were called to the incident at 9:35 p.m. and said the 59-year-old pedestrian was transported to a local hospital before he died from his injuries. Police said the alleged driver remained on the scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation. Authorities are asking residents who live in the area of the crash to share any surveillance or dash camera footage they may have captured of the incident.
