SC: iPhone alert leads to fatal crash response
Authorities in Kershaw County, South Carolina, say they were notified of an early morning fatal crash by the driver's iPhone crash detection feature.The Kershaw County Coroner's Office said the crash happened on Bishopville Highway near Favor Road at approximately 2 a.m. on Tuesday.According to the coroner, the driver, 22-year-old Reese Autumn Player, was driving east when she lost control of the vehicle, flipped multiple times and was ejected.Player was pronounced dead at the scene.No other vehicles were involved in the crash.South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
