Santa Fe county deputies investigating fatal crash
Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a fatal crash. Deputies say the crash involved two vehicles on New Mexico State Road 502. The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Investigation Team is conducting the investigation to determine the cause of the crash. A 96-year-old woman is said to have succumbed to her injuries sustained in the crash. Her identity is not being revealed currently due to the next of kin notification pending. Both east and westbound lanes between County Road 101D and State Road 30 have been closed during the investigation. Emergency responders remain on scene, and motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice. Drivers are encouraged to use the following alternative routes: Westbound Traffic on State Road 502: Detour via Espanola to State Road 30 Eastbound Traffic from Los Alamos: Use State Road 30 or State Road 4 to bypass the closure.
