Roosevelt Highway in Colchester shut down on Friday following deadly accident
The Roosevelt Highway in Colchester is currently shut down due to a tragic accident that occurred just after 6 p.m. This incident has led to the closure of sections of Route 2 and 7 near Coon Hill Road, which is located approximately one mile south of the I-89 Exit 17 on-ramp. Upon arrival, officers discovered several individuals trapped in their vehicles. Multiple emergency response teams from the area swiftly reacted to the scene. Colchester law enforcement reported that two individuals lost their lives at the hospital, while three others are undergoing medical treatment for their injuries.
