Rollover crash on US 41 in Brooksville injures deputy and driver: FHP
A Hernando County Sheriff's deputy and another driver were hospitalized on Friday morning following a rollover crash between a patrol vehicle in Brooksville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Grand Entrada Boulevard. The crash resulted from an SUV exiting Grand Entrada Boulevard onto the highway and colliding with the patrol vehicle as the deputy was attempting to stop a speeding vehicle in the southbound lanes of U.S. 41. The patrol vehicle overturned multiple times, while the SUV came to a stop in the travel lanes. Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. The Florida Highway Patrol has not disclosed the identities of the individuals involved in the collision.
