New information has been released regarding a tragic accident that occurred on Interstate 85 in Durham last weekend, as reported by the Durham Police Department. The incident took place on Sunday evening near exit 176, where 32-year-old Alfredo Sanchez Soto of Durham was involved in a collision between a 2015 Dodge Challenger and a 2025 Freightliner. Sadly, Soto lost his life in the accident. Speed is suspected to have played a role in the crash, and an investigation is ongoing with no charges filed as of Monday.
