Revealed: Identities of victims in UPS aircraft crash

UPS has confirmed the names of the crew members who were on board the plane that tragically crashed near the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. The victims were identified as Captain Richard Wartenberg, First Officer Lee Truitt, and International Relief Officer Captain Dana Diamond. In a statement, UPS expressed deep sorrow over the accident and extended sympathies to those affected. The identities of the other victims have not been disclosed yet. The crash resulted in the loss of at least 12 lives, including that of a child, as the UPS cargo plane caught fire and crashed into buildings upon takeoff. The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation into the crash involving the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 aircraft built in 1991.
