Deadly motorcycle crash in West Allis; man killed while driving over 100 mph
A motorcyclist passed away following an incident near 111th and Greenfield in West Allis on Tuesday, Nov. 4. West Allis authorities were informed by the New Berlin Police Department about a motorcycle speeding eastbound on Greenfield Avenue at around 11:25 p.m. Officials from West Allis observed the motorcycle passing through the intersection of 116th and Greenfield at high speed. As they approached the area near 111th and Greenfield Avenue, officers saw flames. It was reported that there was no police chase involving the motorcycle. A preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle was traveling in excess of 100 mph when it collided with the rear of a Dodge Magnum that was also moving eastbound. The motorcyclist, identified as 36-year-old Joseph Buckelew from Panama City, Florida, tragically lost his life in the crash. The driver of the Dodge was unharmed.
