Reports: Singer Oliver Tree dead after mid-air helicopter crash in Brazil
American singer and comedian Oliver Tree reportedly died in a mid-air helicopter crash in Brazil, multiple media outlets say. He was 32 years old. The Associated Press reported that two helicopters collided over Rio de Janeiro on Sunday morning and crashed in the western part of the city. There were a total of six people in the two helicopters; all are said to have died, AP reported. In addition, AP said they were told by police that singer and comedian Oliver Tree, whose real name is Oliver Tree Nickell, was “on the list of passengers handed to aviation authorities” but authorities had not yet identified anyone killed in the crash at that time. CNN Brazil also reported that Oliver Tree, known for his 2021 hit "Life Goes On," was onboard and perished in the crash. He released an album, "Love You Madly Hate You Badly," this past April and recently announced a world tour that was set to start on July 1 in Portugal.
