Report: Two fatalities and one person hospitalized in southwest Wichita rollover accident.
A tragic rollover crash in southwest Wichita on Friday evening resulted in two fatalities and one individual sustaining severe injuries. The incident occurred around 11:11 p.m. near 47th Street South on South West Street. Emergency responders arrived to find a black Chevrolet SS that had veered off the road and rolled over multiple times. The driver, identified as 46-year-old Joseph Perry Davidson from Wichita, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, 48-year-old Joshua Blick of Wichita, also ejected from the car, succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital in critical condition. Another passenger, a 44-year-old man from Wichita, was hospitalized with serious injuries. The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office indicated that speed and alcohol are suspected as contributing factors in the accident. The investigation is currently ongoing.
