Reaction from Fox Meadows residents following fatal crash

Tragically, two individuals who were injured in a car accident in Fox Meadows on Tuesday have passed away, as confirmed by Memphis Police the next day. The incident, which involved two vehicles, took place at the junction of South Mendenhall and Fox Plaza Drive around noon. Video footage obtained by WREG reveals a third car was also involved in the collision, with the footage capturing a car exiting an apartment complex and subsequently being struck by an SUV on South Mendenhall. This was then followed by a red sports car colliding with them. An eyewitness present at the scene shared that he was the first to offer assistance to the victims and emphasized that incidents related to drag racing are unfortunately not uncommon in Fox Meadows. The witness expressed his concern about the prevalence of drag racing activities in the area. The residents of Fox Meadows, like Denise Gartrell, have voiced their disapproval of drag racing, citing the lack of speed deterrents like speed bumps along the roads. Despite the witness's claims, police have not confirmed that this particular crash resulted from drag racing, nor have they disclosed the identities of the victims. No charges have been pressed by law enforcement at this moment.
