Portion of I-70 closed after semi accident

BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Indiana State Police are currently on the scene of a semi accident that has closed down a portion of Interstate 70 near Brazil, leading to a 3-mile backup. According to Indiana Police Sgt. Matt Ames, an accident occurred near the 23-mile marker on Interstate 70. He said that while working on a project up the road, a semi driver pulling a trailer was not paying attention and struck the trailer of another semi, leaving it disabled on the roadway. The right lane of the interstate has been closed down while the semi is being removed. Sgt. Ames added that drivers need to maintain focus on the roads and avoid distracted driving, especially in work zones.
