Portion of I-15 shut down after deadly pedestrian crash
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A man is dead following a crash along I-15 on Friday night, according to the Nevada State Police. The crash took place around 9:28 p.m. along northbound I-15 at Washington Avenue. The crash involved a pickup truck and a male pedestrian, police told 8 News Now. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck has remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. Drivers are asked to slow down when exiting onto I-15 / D street off-ramp and should avoid the area and use alternate routes. It is unknown when I-15 and ramps will be reopened. Road closures include I-15 northbound at Washington - All travel lanes are closed. Also, the I-11 to go I-15 northbound is closed. All northbound I-15 traffic is being diverted off onto the I-15 / D Street off-ramp. Further information will be provided following the preliminary investigation.
