Police report: 79-year-old killed and 3 injured in Harford County car accident

The Maryland State Police are currently looking into a tragic incident in Harford County that resulted in the death of a 79-year-old man in Forest Hill. The authorities were alerted to the scene just before 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 7, following a collision involving two vehicles on Baldwin Mill Road, south of Parkwood Drive. Reports indicate that a Chevrolet Silverado, travelling northbound on Baldwin Mill Road, inexplicably crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with an oncoming Toyota Prius. The Toyota's driver, identified as Charles Bender, 79, unfortunately did not survive the crash. Two occupants of the Prius, a 76-year-old woman and a 4-year-old child, were transported to a hospital for their injuries. The Chevy's driver, a 66-year-old woman, also required medical attention. The incident continues to be investigated by authorities.
