Rochester, N.Y. — New York State police released more information about Thursday morning’s wrong-way crash that killed two people on the Inner Loop. Authorities say the crash happened at approximately 1:26 a.m. when a 2024 Honda CR-V driven by 39-year-old Nayomi Flores was traveling the wrong way—westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Inner Loop. The Honda collided head-on with a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by Charles Barnes, with a passenger, Quincy Battle, both 21 years old. After the initial impact, the Ford Fusion was struck again by a 2012 Jeep Liberty operated by 29-year-old Marvin T. Harmon. Barnes and Battle were pronounced dead at the scene. Flores was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital and remains in critical condition. Harmon was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
