Police officer in Prince George’s County charged in fatal accident
In Maryland's Prince George's County, a suspended police officer faces charges related to a fatal car accident following a grand jury indictment. The officer, Cpl. Anthony Coleman, who had been with the Prince George's County Police Department since 2017, was off-duty at the time of the crash in Brandywine last July. The other individual involved, Carlton Herndon, a 56-year-old retired D.C. police detective, tragically lost his life. Following the incident, Coleman's police powers were revoked and now, after the recent indictment, he is suspended from duty without pay.
