Police investigating fatal Annandale pedestrian crash
ANNANDALE, Va. (DC News Now) -- Police are investigating after a woman was killed in an Annandale crash in February. The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said that on Feb. 28, officers responded to a crash just after 5:35 p.m. on John Marr Drive between Backlick Road and Ravensworth Road. Police believe that a driver was going west on John Marr Drive toward Ravensworth Road while a pedestrian, 56-year-old Sun Hyuo Kim of Annandale, was crossing John Marr Drive. The car hit her. Responding units took Kim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She later died there. FCPD said that the car's driver stayed at the scene. They were not injured. Police do not believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash, but investigators were still working to determine whether or not speed was a factor.
