Police investigating deadly accident in New Bedford
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — A section of Mill Street in New Bedford was shut down Thursday morning as police investigated a deadly incident. In a Facebook post, police said they responded to a "serious accident" and advised drivers to seek alternate routes if possible. A 12 News crew at the scene saw police tape and a tent set up near the intersection with Pleasant Street, and the medical examiner was also called to the scene. WBSM radio reports the accident involved a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer.
