Police investigate fatal accident causing road closure in West Sacramento
A fatal collision in West Sacramento resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to a man. The accident took place on Sunday evening on West Capitol Avenue near the Enterprise exit. A 32-year-old woman from Davis succumbed to her injuries after being taken to the hospital, while the 29-year-old male driver from West Sacramento is currently in stable condition. The West Sacramento Police Department has closed both eastbound and westbound lanes of West Capitol Avenue for approximately two hours to investigate the incident. Commuters are advised to use alternate routes and avoid the area. The WSPD extended their heartfelt sympathies to the victim's family and loved ones.
